‎Senior cop murdered in Mihango, Nairobi

Assistant Superintendent of police Eston Ndwiga

was on Wednesday morning murdered in Nairobi.

Ndwiga was shot twice in the chest by gunmen at Mihango,

Kayole.

The officer was a medical doctor serving other Administration police officers.

AP boss Samuel Arachi said the officer was headed home at around 4 am when he was attacked by criminals.

Detectives from Kayole police are currently at the scene of the murder.

Homicide levels have been on the rise over the past few years in Nairobi and other parts of the country.

The data further shows that Kenya has a high crime index of 188 per 100,000 as compared to United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime which reported a global average intentional homicide rate of 6.2 per 100,000 population for 2012.

According to National Police data were recorded in 2015.
