Cord leader Raila Odinga has dismissed claims that he will endorse a presidential candidate to face Jubilee in the next general election.
Raila said he is the most preferred as the coalition's presidential candidate in 2017.
"Those thinking that I will endorse another candidate should wake up from their slumber and acknowledge my candidature as I am the most preferred candidate in 2017," he said on Saturday.
Raila's remarks come in the wake of speculation that he may endorse Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka, Ford Kenya's Moses Wetang'ula or to be Cord's flag bearer.

without my approval? Those looking for endorsement from me are insane," he added.
He said he would officially launch his bid at a later date in order to compete with Cord co-principals who have expressed interest in the presidency.
He also expressed optimism that Cord will win the 2017 general elections with a landslide if the electoral process is adhered to.
He asked voters to embrace the and invited MPs who were elected in Cord affiliate parties to consider joining ODM.
The Cord leader accused President Uhuru Kenyatta for failing to deliver his 2013 campaign pledges.
He cited the free laptop program for all primary schools, modern sports stadia in all the counties, the creation of youth employment and the tarmacking of 10,000 kilometres of roads.

He also accused the Jubilee administration of mismanaging public funds and for massive corruption, specifically the Sh791 million NYS scam and the Sh100 billion Eurobond scandal.
Raila was speaking at a funeral in Alego that was attended by several other Cord MPs including Siaya Senator James Orengo and Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga.
Others were MPs Jakoyo Midiwo (Gem), Junet Mohamed (Suna East), Omondi Muluan (Alego Usonga), Opiyo Wandayi (Ugunja) and Oburu Odinga (nominated).
Woman reps Mishi Mboko (Mombasa) and Christine Ombaka (Siaya) were also present.
They maintained that Raila's name should be on the ballot in 2017.
“Raila will not lose in 2017 if the elections are free and fair. It is high time aspiring candidates remained dedicated in ensuring that Raila becomes the next president,” said Orengo.
He added that the new IEBC select committee report will address issues of manipulation of votes and thus ensure that the elections results are credible and trusted by everyone.
