Igad has warned of flooding in some member countries. Director of Climate Prediction and Application Centre Guleid Artan told the press 22 million people face starvation in the aftermath of El Niño rains.
He spoke at the 43rd Great Horn of Africa Climate outlook forum in Naivasha, which ran from May 30 to 31.
