Betway have announced that former Harambee Stars captain Dennis Oliech has become an official ambassador

The 31-year-old striker has put pen to paper on an initial one-year contract that will see him represent the online bookmaker in various functions around the country. Oliech, the scorer of the famous goal that propelled Kenya to the 2004 African Cup of Nations, said of his new appointment: “Betway is a major brand that I am proud to be associated with. This is also a great opportunity for me to start another chapter in my career.”

Betway Group CEO Richard Akitt, said: “Signing a Kenyan legend like Dennis Oliech is another significant coup for Betway and we’re looking forward to working with Dennis over the course of the next 12 months.”

Oliech was first capped by Kenya as a 17-year-old and has amassed a record 34 goals in his 68 appearances to date.
