A 26-year-old college student committed suicide after stabbing his girlfriend.
Edwin Mandela is said to have stabbed Deborah Kerubo, 20, five times in the chest.
Embakasi CID boss Daniel Kimulwa said an inquiry has been opened.
He committed suicide in his house at Embakasi estate hours after attacking Kerubo at her parents house in Taasia estate.
Mandela left a suicide note, saying he killed the girlfriend over relationship differences.
Police said they found a container of rat poison in Mandela’s house.
Kerubo’s parents were not at home at the time of the incident.
