THE Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology clinched six trophies at the Central Kenya ASK Show in Nyeri.
The four-day show closed on Saturday at Kabiruini Grounds.
The university towered over other exhibitors at the show.
Other exhibitors included public and private institutions of higher learning and research.
JKUAT was declared the best in developing advanced technology and exhibiting agricultural and earth-moving equipment.
The university also was named the best university stand and engineering institution.
JKUAT’s technological innovation and agro-processing initiatives were also honoured at the show that attracted 103 exhibitors.
This year’s show was themed Enhancing Technology in Agriculture and Industry for Food Security and National Growth.
Vice Chancellor Mabel Imbuga said showcased technologies included the macadamia de-husker, rice husk gasifier, multipurpose juice processor and ICT solutions.
“It has been our desire to impart knowledge and skills to enhance technological innovations and improve agricultural research,” she said on Tuesday.
