LEGENDARY rapper Johnny Vigeti has featured Jamaican reggae/ragga artiste Anthony Martin aka Lutan Fyah in a collabo track.
Recorded at Masa Music by Ken Ring (Kenyan producer based in Sweden), the song titled Scarface Dream is among other singles that will make up his much-awaited comeback album named Mr Vigeti. The rap guru is one third of the Dandora-based hip-hop group, Kalamashaka, alongside Rowbar and Kamaa. Formed in 1995, the Swahili rap trio still remains arguably Kenya’s pioneers of hip-hop music.
However, after spending more than a decade in the cold, after battling a number of problems including drug abuse, the group seems set for a comeback. Towards the end of last year, the group released one of their major comeback singles, Moi Avenue.
“Its a good Sunday! Time to do the last song for the album. Can’t believe it’s finished. And it’s the best I have ever done... But I wanna say thanks to all my fans for crazy support... To many people (they are) just in it (music industry) to make something but they forget the Music. And at the end of the day, the Music is all that matters,” Vigeti wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday.
