Police have been accused of executing 17 terror suspects in various parts of the country by anti-terrorism police unit this year alone.

Civil society group led by Muslim for human rights group Muhuri says terror suspects have been murdered in cold blood including the two Kassim Omollo and Salim Mohammed killed in Mombasa.

Muhuri director Hussein Khalid says they have written to judiciary to institute investigation and prosecution of officers behind the killings. Meanwhile families of the two suspects who were killed on Monday says they will take legal action against the government.

According to police Kassim Omollo who was killed at Mlaleo estate in Kisauni, was an ally of wanted terror suspect Fazul Mohammed and Swaleh Ali Swaleh behind the US and Kikambala bombing respectively.
