President Willia Ruto was Sunday awarded degree of Doctor of Humane Letters in Leadership by the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton.

It is awarded to those who have distinguished themselves through humanitarian and philanthropic contributions to society.

The criteria for awarding the degree differ from institution to institution.

The award was issued during the graduation ceremony held at the school.

President Ruto attended the event.

Among key dignitaries present were Education CS Julius Ogamba and Higher Education Principal Secretary Beatrice Inyangala.

Nandi Governor Stephen Sang and his Elgeyo Marakwet counterpart Wisley Rotich also graced the occassion.
