The Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) has announced the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer, Anthony Mwangi, after two years of service.
The Association expressed its deep appreciation for Mwangi's dedicated leadership and significant contributions to both the organization and the broader manufacturing sector during his tenure.
Since taking on the role of CEO, Mr. Mwangi has played a pivotal role in advancing KAM’s advocacy efforts, particularly in the pursuit of the Manufacturing 20by30 Strategy.
"His leadership helped position KAM as a key thought leader within the manufacturing industry," a statement from KAM reads.
In the wake of his departure, Tobias Alando, the current Chief Operating Officer, will step in as Acting CEO.
The Board of Directors has initiated the process of recruiting a new CEO.
The Association expressed confidence that under Alando's interim leadership, KAM will continue to build on the strong foundation laid by Mr. Mwangi.
KAM has called for the continued support of its members, partners, and stakeholders during this transition period, emphasizing its commitment to its strategic objectives and its mission of fostering sustainable industrialization for national prosperity.
The Association also extended its best wishes to Mwangi in his future endeavors and thanked him for his invaluable contribution to KAM and the manufacturing sector.
