Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife Alfred Mutua landed at the Narok Airstrip on Wednesday for the launch of the National Wildlife Census 2024.

He was received by Narok County Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu.

The initiative aims to assess the status of wildlife populations within the Greater Masai Mara Ecosystem.

"This morning, I arrived at Narok Airstrip and was warmly received by Narok County Governor, H.E. @OleNtutuK for the launch of the National Wildlife Census 2024. This initiative aims to assess the status of wildlife in the Greater Masai Mara Ecosystem," Mutua said.

Mutua said this exercise marks Kenya's second National Wildlife Census, following the successful launch in 2021.
