Former President Uhuru Kenyatta attended a state banquet Wednesday evening in Benin City, Nigeria.

The state banquet was hosted by Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki in honour of the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation (GJF).

Uhuru arrived in Benin City, Nigeria for the 2024 Goodluck Jonathan Foundation (GJF) Democracy Dialogue.

The event, which is the third in the series, will be held in Edo State's capital and is organized by GJF founder and former Nigerian President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

Godwin Obaseki will be co-hosting the dialogue.

This year's dialogue theme is "Functional Education and Effective Political Leadership as a Panacea to Africa's Growth and Development".

It aims to bring together key political leaders, policymakers and experts from across the continent.

The discussions will focus on the crucial role of education and the recruitment of effective political leaders in achieving the development goals of African nations.
