Ms Charlene Ruto joined women at the Langata Women's Prison to celebrate beauty and plant trees.
In attendance was Lang'ata MP Felix Odiwuor, Murang'a MCA Sharlene Wambui Maina and nominated MP Umulkheir Harun Mohammed.
The beauty pageants showcased the charm of both the inmates and officers.
MCA Maina lauded the women who showed up for the pageant, saying the event gave inmates a second chance at life.
"We celebrated beauty behind bars featuring Inmates and officers. We pray that our small and big sisters for the time they will be in prison it will give them a second chance in life, give them skills and make them better people.," Maina said.
