Youth in the Mt Kenya region on Friday turned up in support of the Limuru III Conference led by Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua and Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni.

The youth had placards calling for equitable distribution of resources across the country through the One vote, One man, One shilling formula.

They also want their grievances over policies in the miraa trading heard.

The Limuru III is expected to make a major statement.

Other leaders present include former Laikipia Governor Nderitu Muriithi, Jubilee secretary general Jeremiah Kioni, and Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua among others.

According to Kioni and Martha Karua, the conference would bring together over 10 political parties from the Mt Kenya region to discuss issues that afflict them, as a community.

They insist that the Mt Kenya region has been in a crisis over the last two years, and a solution needs to be found.

According to Karua, the Limuru meeting would provide a platform to discuss various socio-political issues affecting the community, emphasizing the constitutional right of people with common interests to convene.
