Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale on Monday met the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) leadership to examine the 2023 - 2024 budget estimates.

Duale through his X handle said the meeting ensured alignment with the ministry's strategic goals and national security priorities.

According to Duale, every aspect of the budget underwent rigorous scrutiny, with input from military sectors and defense finance experts.

This, Duale said, is aimed at ensuring transparency and accountability in public fund utilisation.

The CS said the finalised budget will be presented to the National Assembly Defence Committee and the Budget and Appropriations Committee.
