President William Ruto on Monday made an impromptu visit to the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) Eldoret Depot.

President Ruto directed the management of NCPB across the country to speed up the distribution of subsidised fertilizer.

The Head of State further said that fraudsters selling fake fertiliser will be prosecuted.

Responding to the raging issue about the fake fertiliser, the Head of State issued a stern warning to individuals involved.

He said those behind the illicit trade would be arrested and prosecuted.

He underscored the government's commitment to safeguarding the agricultural sector and protecting farmers from fraudulent practices.
