Former President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday joined the family of former Ministry of ICT, Innovation, and Youth Affairs CS Joe Mucheru for a memorial service of his mother.

Uhuru condoled with the family after the loss of their mother, the late Grace Wamuyu Mucheru.

He encouraged the family to be strong, acknowledging that losing a matriarch is a profound loss.

"Our hearts go out to you during this difficult time. Mrs. Grace Wamuyu Mucheru's legacy of strength, kindness, and wisdom will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of all who knew her," Uhuru said.

"May you find solace in the cherished memories you shared together and in the love and support of friends and family."
