Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba, Wednesday visited the Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.

The visit was reportedly geared towards transforming key sports infrastructure in Kenya and making them profitable ventures.  

According to the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports account, the CS met Moroccan Sports Minister Chakib Benmoussa at Mohammed VI football complex in Rabat.

The CS expressed his satisfaction at the level of intent from the Moroccan government to deliberately target raw gems right from the grassroots and refine them through a structured system, sharpen their skills and deploy them for the national good.

The CS added that his Ministry was keen on benchmarking with key leaders in Africa’s football ecosystem, as it prepares its infrastructure and builds a formidable team for the premier Africa football extravaganza -AFCON 2027- that Kenya is set to host alongside Uganda and Tanzania.
