The Kenya Wildlife Services on Friday rescued a sub-adult hippo in Naivasha.
The hippo had gotten stuck in a ditch at a Hotel in Naivasha.
It was rescued by the KWS rangers and community members and driven safely back to Lake Naivasha.
"Hippos are considered a vulnerable species, primarily due to habitat loss, illegal hunting, and poaching," KWS said in a statement.
"KWS is committed to ensuring the survival of hippos and promoting conservation efforts for these magnificent creatures. Karibu, Tutunze Pamoja."
