Mudavadi to start three-day tour of Lamu county

Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign and Diaspora Affairs CS Musalia Mudavadi is set to begin a three-day tour to Lamu.

According to the press statement, Mudavadi will inspect key development projects and hold a series of meetings with political, local and religious leaders drawn from the larger Lamu County.

He will later inspect the Kenya Ports Authority Boat Stand Waiting Area at Mokowe Jetty.

The PCS and his host Lamu Governor Issa Timamy alongside Lamu political leaders will later address journalists at the governor’s office in Mokowe

"The Prime Cabinet Secretary will meet Lamu elders and religious leaders at the Lamu Polytechnic on Saturday before leading a fundraising ceremony in support of Stone Town School," read the statement.

He will also inspect the ongoing construction works of Taxi Way and Apron at the Manda airport.

Mudavadi was the party leader of the Amani National Congress before he quit after being nominated to the Prime Cabinet Secretary.

Governor Timamy was then appointed as the ANC acting party leader.
