President William Ruto on Friday led mourners in a send-off for World Marathon record holder Kelvin Kiptum.
The ceremony was attended by local and international leaders including the World Athletics President Sebastian Coe.
Other leaders present were Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Sports CS Ababu Namwamba, Athletics Kenya President Jackson Tuwei, Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Wesley Rotich and MPs among other leaders.

Kiptum's death happened six days after the IAAF ratified his record of 2:00:35.
Kiptum broke Eliud Kipchoge's world record in Chicago, in October last year, running 26.1 miles in two hours and 35 seconds.
