On Tuesday, the President had a session with the governors.

Explaining why he invited governors to the retreat, the President stated that counties are partners with the national government.

"The reason why we asked the Council of Governors to come and have a session with us is because I wanted ministers here and their principal secretaries to understand that the counties are our partners, not competitors," Ruto said.
