[PHOTOS] Ruto hosts Mt Kenya leaders at Sagana State Lodge

President William Ruto on Thursday night hosted a section of leaders from Mt Kenya at the Sagana State Lodge in Nyeri County.

The President is in the Central Kenya region on a four-day working tour which started on Wednesday.

He held a meeting with the leaders in the open around a bonfire which he occasionally fed firewood to keep it burning.

Among those present included Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Murang'a Governor Irungu Kang'ata, Nominated MP Sabina Chege and a host of MPs and MCAs.  

Prior to the Sagana meeting, the President commissioned and launched a number of development projects including the Maragua Bulk Water Supply and Irrigation Project in Murang’a County, the Changachicha Irrigation Project in Othaya and Changachicha Irrigation Project, Chinga, Nyeri County.

The President also launched the construction of a 220-unit Makenji affordable housing project in Kandara, Murang’a County.

Ruto also commissioned the Ithanga Water Supply Project that will serve more than 20,000 households in Gatanga Constituency, Murang’a County.

He also commissioned the Kangema Kenya Medical Training College, Murang’a County.
