Former KNUT Secretary General Wilson Sossion on Saturday made a unique appearance at Tenwek High School, where he dressed in school uniform for the academic day event of Form Four students.

Sossion, an alumnus of the school, was however not alone in his visit.

He was joined by Christopher Khaemba, the former principal of Alliance High School, who attended as the chief guest, along with  Wilson Kerich and the school's chief Principal Mutali Chesebe.

Sossion's contribution to Tenwek High School has been significant, especially during his tenure as a teacher there, before he embarked on his journey with the union.

His efforts have been vital in the school's impressive academic achievements.

Joining him were Khaemba and Kerich, both members of 'Wadau wa Walimu Kenya', an initiative aimed at enhancing education standards across the country.

The result of such collaborative efforts was evident in Tenwek High School's outstanding performance in the 2023 KCSE examinations.

The school achieved a remarkable mean grade of 9.334, a significant improvement from the previous 8.7561.

Out of the 398 students who appeared for the exams, an impressive number of 382 qualified for university admission.
