[PHOTOS] Uhuru meets new UK High Commissioner Neil Wigan

Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday met British High Commissioner to Kenya Neil Wigan at his office. 

Wigan paid a courtesy call to Uhuru. 

Also during the meeting was former Foreign Affairs PS Macharia Kamau, ex- State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena.  

Wigan took over from Jane Marriot 

Their meeting comes hours after Wigan met Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. 

Gachagua said their discussions revolved around socio-economic ties between Kenya and the United Kingdom.

"This morning, at the Official Residence in Karen, I hosted the new UK High Commissioner to Kenya H.E Neil Wigan for discussions on deepening the socio-economic ties between the two Nations in areas that include Trade, Foreign Direct Investment, Security, Climate Change Action, Technology Transfer, Women and Youth Empowerment, among other areas as underpinned by the Kenya-UK Strategic Partnership Framework, 2020-2025," the DP said.
