The National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) on Monday planted more than 4,000 trees.
According to the Ministry of Interior, NACADA's staff across all its Offices in the country planted some 4,855 tree seedlings.
The Authority's theme for the day was 'Plant trees, not herbs'.
Taking to her X (formerly Twitter) account, Judy Twala, the Manager Counselling and Rehabilitation at NACADA said they will ensure the trees grow to maturity.
"NACADA Kenya participated in the tree planting exercise and we are committed to ensuring they grow to maturity," she said.
