[PHOTOS] President Ruto's day out in Saudi Arabia

President William Ruto spent his day on Tuesday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to hold bilateral talks and attend the Future Investment Initiative summit.

On the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Ruto met PepsiCo's CEO for Africa, Middle East and South Asia Eugene Willemsen.

The two leaders discussed approaches to advancing farming in Kenya to increase production, including bringing an extra three million acres of arable land into cultivation.

The President also announced that PepsiCo has shown interest in setting up operations in Nairobi.

He said Nairobi is a potential investment hub for Africa.

"The firm’s broadening of its portfolio will accelerate the exploitation of irrigation-fed agriculture, thereby expanding economic opportunities for millions of our youth," the President said.

Ruto is also expected to give a keynote address at the 7th edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) summit.

The summit offers insights from 500 distinguished speakers across a spectrum of critical sectors.

The FII Institute is a worldwide nonprofit organization with an investment arm dedicated to making a global impact by fostering cross-border collaboration among exceptional minds.

It is dedicated to converting innovative ideas into practical solutions across critical areas such as artificial intelligence and robotics, education, healthcare, and sustainability.
