President William Ruto led a delegation of leaders to launch the Building Climate Resilience of the Urban Poor Implementation Strategy 2023-2030 on the sidelines of the Africa Climate Summit at the KICC.
Ruto said the mission of the Building Climate Resilience of the Urban Poor Implementation Strategy 2023-2030 is to eliminate slums.
"Its mission to eliminate informal settlements, provide essential amenities and create employment for millions of our youth is a big step towards bettering the quality of life of the people," Ruto said.

Leaders present were Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Cabinet Secretaries Zacharia Njeru, Alice Wahome and Rebecca Miano.
Others were Governors Johnson Sakaja, Anne Waiguru and Gladys Wanga.
