President William Ruto on Tuesday marked his five-day tour of the Western region.
The President was in the Western region to launch projects and meet with leaders.
He ended his trip in Vihiga County by launching the construction of the 20.8-kilometre Mago-Mululu-Wangulu and Lusui-Vokoli roads.
The President and a host of leaders also inspected the work in progress on the Gisambai-Hamisi-Senende road.
Ruto said investing in the construction and maintenance of roads is an investment in farmers and enterprises in rural Kenya.
"The investment is a way to connect them to opportunities and spark economic growth from the grassroots," he said.
He was accompanied by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, and Cabinet Secretaries among other leaders.
