President William Ruto on Sunday marked his second day in the Western Kenya region.
He is on a five-day tour of the region which will see him launch and inspect projects as well as meet grassroots leaders.
On Sunday morning, he had an appointment with the Bungoma MCAs where he commissioned the new County Assembly Building.
As he boasts of being a staunch Christian and follower of Christ, the President by 10 am was seated in church for a service.
He shared a memory verse to encourage Kenyans: And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. — Hebrews 10:24-25

After the church service, the President proceeded to Kakamega County where he presided over the groundbreaking for the construction of more than 300 kilometers of roads in Kakamega.
"They will enhance connectivity, spur trade, and boost the local economy through the swift movement of goods — such as sugarcane and maize — to the market," Ruto said.
The President together with other leaders including Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa held a meet and greet moment with residents.
