Interior PS Raymond Omollo has said the ministry is committed to partnering with stakeholders to achieve its goal of a drug-free nation.
He said they will also work with parties of interest in the fight, to end the production, distribution and consumption of illicit brews and substance abuse.
"Besides assembling a multi-agency team to spearhead a nationwide operation against alcohol and drugs led by NGAOs, as a ministry, we are reorienting our drug and alcohol policy towards treatment, rehabilitation and support of those affected," he said.
He spoke on Monday during the 2023 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The event was organised by the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA) at the Bomas of Kenya.
