Azimio leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday led a food distribution exercise in Nyadorera in Siaya.
Raila who was accompanied by other leaders including Siaya Governor James Orengo and his Busia counterpart Paul Otuoma distributed unga and cooking oil to families affected by floods.
Also present were Minority leader Opiyo Wandayi, Budalang'i MP Raphael Wanjala, Kakamega Woman MP Elsi Muhanda, Siaya Speaker George Okode and his Busia counterpart Fred Odilo.
The floods have been occasioned by torrential rains, further compounding the need for relief aid to affected families which were already grappling with the aftereffects of a prolonged drought.
The weatherman has however in the latest forecast said the rains are likely to reduce this week.
