The meeting followed Ruto's arrival for two-day state visit in Israel.
President Ruto will later on be hosted by Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Natanyahu.
"Kenya and Israel have a uniquely strong, deep and warm relationship. We are broadening this friendship — with a special focus on agriculture — to efficiently produce more to feed our people and export the surplus," Ruto said after the meeting.
He added, "Israel’s modern farming technology will sustainably drive this hugely transformational agenda. Met the President of Israel Isaac Herzog at his Residence in Jerusalem; agreed to expand our cooperation in trade, agriculture, security and technology."
Ruto has been out of the country since May 5, when he left to attend King Charles III's coronation.
He went on to meet business leaders in the UK and an official visit of the Netherlands on Sunday for a series of bilateral meetings that included a meeting with His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands.
