Accidents of the Week: 7 dead in Kendubay as Mr Seed survives grisly accident

Injured in Nairobi-Nakuru highway road carnage

Several passengers were injured in the Nyakairo area near Kinungi along the  Nairobi-Nakuru Highway following a road accident involving a Matatu and a private car on Sunday evening.

St John Ambulance Kenya said the survivors sustained minor injuries from the accident.

St. John Ambulance volunteers offered first aid to the survivors before they were rushed to the hospital.

Musician Mr Seed in a road accident 

Gospel Musician Mr Seed got involved in a grisly road accident on Saturday night that led to the death of some of his friends. 

Mr Seed, whose real name is Moses Omondi, sustained severe injuries from the accident. 

While on their way to Nanyuki, Mr Seed was in a car with some friends.

7 people die in Kendu Bay accident

On Friday, 7 people were feared dead following a road accident near Kanyadhiang in the Karachuonyo constituency.

The 7 were in a bus carrying over 30 people. The bus overturned as its driver tried evading a head-on collision with an oncoming and speeding truck.

The bus belonged to ACK Guu Secondary School. 

The bus tried to turn a corner from Kendu Bay-Homa Bay Road.

In Mumbai, India 

Four died on Thursday after a car they were in collided with a bus in Maharashtra's Sangli district.

The four died on the spot while one person survived due to an airbag in the car. 

 United Kingdom 

A couple got trapped inside flipped car following a  crash with an Audi on Friday. 

The speeding Audi was maneuvering between cars when the crash happened on the slip road to the new Etruria Valley link road close to Wolstanton Retail Park.

 The man in his 80s and woman in her 50s were rushed to the hospital.

New York, USA

A 31 year old mother and her one-year-old daughter died on Thursday after a Nissan they were in crashed with a school bus. 

The mother died on site while her daughter succumbed a while later.  

The accident occurred along the Long Island Express Drive South in Yaphank, New York.
