Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Wafula has said the national government has announced plans to equip and modernize the Trans Nzoia Teaching and Referral Hospital.
This was during a meeting on Wednesday between the President and leaders of Trans Nzoia County at State House Nairobi.
"This move will improve healthcare services and help ensure access to quality and affordable healthcare for Kenyans," she said.
Wafula said President William Ruto reaffirmed the government's commitment to improving healthcare services in the country.
Wafula said the move is expected to have a positive impact on the health outcomes of people in the region and is in line with the government's efforts to improve healthcare services across the country.
Also present in the meeting was Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, Prime Cabinet CS Musalia Mudavadi, National Assembly speaker Mosesd Wetang'ula and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
