[PHOTOS] Gachagua holds consultative talks with Malala

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Thursday met with the UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala at the Harambee House Annex.

He lauded him on his appointment, wishing him success in the role.

Malala was named the party SG on Tuesday, taking over from nominated senator Veronica Maina.

"We have immense faith in him and his ability to revitalise the party given his wealth of experience, energy, youthfulness, and vigour," Gachagua said.

Speaking earlier in the day, Malala said the Kenya Kwanza Alliance is keen on having one strong and united party in the country before going into the 2027 general election.

"We are having a consultative engagement with other parties, our objective being to build a perpetual political party resemblance of the ANC of South Africa and those in the US," he said.

ANC has governed South Africa since 1994.
