President William Ruto on Friday arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the 36th Ordinary Session of the African Union Heads of State and Government Summit.
The meeting will be held from February 17 to 19, 2023.
On Thursday, State House spokesperson Hussein Mohamed said Ruto will join other regional leaders for discussions aimed at fast-tracking Intra-Trade in Africa.
This is through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) framework.
He added that Ruto is expected to advocate for the continent's potential to lead the world.
He will also demonstrate that Africa can industrialise, thrive and prosper in a low-carbon and sustainable manner.
