Treasury Cabinet Secretary Professor Njuguna Ndung’u this morning held talks with the African Guarantee Fund (AGF) top management.
He met with AGF Board Chairman Felix Bikpo at his offices in Nairobi.
AGF was established in 2011 by the Government of Denmark, the Government of Spain and the African Development Bank (AFDB).
Its mandate was facilitating access to finance for SMEs to enable them fully play their role of driving the growth of African economies.
The meeting focused on collaboration with AGF in the implementation of the Credit Guarantee Scheme for MSMEs.
Later on, the CS was paid a Courtesy call by Kakamega County Governor and Council of Governors Chair for Finance, Planning and Economic Affairs Committee Fernandes Barasa and committee member Kisii Governor Simba Arati, among other officials.
The discussions centred on the status of disbursements to county governments and the draft Budget Policy Statement.
