Second Lady Dorcas Gachagua met with various religious leaders to discuss ways to empower the Kenyan boychild.

She had earlier said that the priority for the Office of the Second Lady in the first five years would be the empowerment of the boychild, widows and other vulnerable groups in society.

She met with Bishop David Mureithi, Sammy Wambugu, a Counselling Psychologist, Harrison Murakaru, and Pastor and Author Robert Burale.

"We must inculcate the right values in our youth and rescue them from a life where they are hopeless, bitter, and surrounded by negative mentors," she said.

She said she will be working with psychologists, mentors, and religious leaders of all faiths.

She met religious leaders from the Islamic Faith, including leaders of the Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims (SUPKEM).
