Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza on Friday walked out of the Senate chambers with victory.
The governor survived impeachment after the charges levelled against her were dropped by an 11-member Senate Special Committee.
Outside the chambers, Meru First Gentleman Murega Baichu waited for her.

They held a placard with the writing, "Glory to God".
Speaking after the submission of the Committee's report, Senate Speaker Amason Kingi said the subject had been put to rest, completely.
Kingi said there was a need to adhere to Section 33(6)(a) of the County Government's Act and Standing Order 84(a).
It states that "If the Special Committee reports that the particulars of any allegations against the Governor have not been substantiated, further proceedings shall not be taken under this section irrespective of that allegation."
