Hundreds of Kenyans trooped to the newly revamped Uhuru Park for the official opening of the Nairobi festival.
People bought tickets at Uhuru Park entrance. The tickets sold at Sh50 for children and Sh100 for adults.
The tickets were bought only via mobile money.
People were treated to entertainment as they walked around the park.

Uhuru and Central parks have been closed since last year November when renovations were made by the Nairobi Metropolitan Service.
MPs had allocated Sh1 billion for the renovations.
Using its contractors, NMS renovated Uhuru and Central parks into a world-class modern look for recreational purposes.
