[PHOTOS]: Governor Wamatangi initiates insurance scheme

Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi initiated the mass registration exercise for the beneficiaries of the county government medical insurance scheme in partnership with NHIF.

The programme aims to benefit more than 30,000 households who will be getting medical services for free in the county public hospitals.

The event was held at Kiambu county headquarters on Friday.

Government officials from the Ministry of Health and local leaders were present.

The registration is expected to cover residents from poor families as part of Wamatangi's manifestos during his campaigns.
