The multi-million Regina Caeli Catholic Church in Karen was on Thursday dedicated by the Apostolic Nuncio to Kenya and South Sudan, Hubertus van Megen.
The church, which has three confession rooms and an adoration chapel was constructed in almost six years.
It has a capacity of hosting up to 3,000 members every Sunday.
Some congregants attended the first mass during the dedication.
The church was established in 1953, by Holy Ghost Regina Caeli Catholic Church Karen Parish in Western Deanery.
However, construction of the new church began in 2016.
The church has three doors, one at the entrance while two are on the right and left side of the church.
At the centre of the church, a dove is placed to signify the holy spirit.
The ceiling is also painted sky blue with a dove representing the Holy Spirit at the centre.
There are four stars, two yellow and two blue placed at the roof.
The church is circular and resembles a crown with yellow painted arcs on the walls around the church.
There are also 12 pillars representing the 12 disciples of Jesus.
