[PHOTOS] DCI, bikers hold candlelight vigil to mourn colleague

Directorate Criminal Investigation officers and members of the Bikers Association held a candlelight vigil to mourn their colleague who was killed in a hit-and-run accident.

Boniface Muganda who was the DCI's creative designer was celebrated by many as a hardworking officer who was passionate and committed to his work.

Muganda's remains will be picked from Kenyatta University Funeral Home for a memorial service at KAG Mirema Drive on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

A procession will lead to his home County in Kakamega where the corpse will be preserved ahead of burial next week.

Muganda met his death on Saturday after he was hit by a speeding motorist on along the Northern By-Pass at Marurui, near Ashaki club.

Muganda, who is attached to the Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Unit, was headed home on his motorbike when a speeding motorist hit him.

Amin said that, according to first responders who rushed the designer to Kenyatta University hospital, Muganda died at the hospital’s gate, just before doctors could attend to him.

He was pronounced dead on arrival.
