President William Ruto is currently presiding over the groundbreaking of Soweto East Zone B Social Housing, Kibra, Nairobi County.

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, Woman Representative Esther Passaris were among the leaders who attended the event.

This is the first time Ruto is going to Kibra after winning the presidential elections.

"I will break ground in Kibra Soweto B for a housing project which will deliver thousands on housing units," Ruto said on Thursday.

Kibra is considered as former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's backyard.
