President William Ruto and former President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday met the East African Community secretary general Peter Mathuki.
Mathuki was accompanied by the president of the East African Court of Justice Justice Nestor Kayobera to the meeting with Ruto.
In their discussion Mathuki briefed the President on the; state of the EAC regional integration agenda, peace and security matters, as well as key priority projects and programmes of the region.
The EAC secretary general's meeting with Uhuru came on the sidelines of the meeting at State House Nairobi.
The retired president is the EAC facilitator on Peace Process in Democratic Republic of Congo.
Uhuru is also the Peace envoy for the conflict in Ethiopia.
