Celebrations have rocked different parts of Central Kenya and Embu County after William Ruto was declared the fifth president-elect.

Residents of Nakuru, Murang'a and Kirinyaga brought the areas to a standstill on Monday as they took to the streets dancing and waving yellow flags.

In Eastern region, Runyejes area in Embu County, residents including mama mboga and boda boda personnel also went singing and dancing.

Ruto has promised a bottom up economy, which will focus on the  blue-collar workers.
