Kenyatta University held its 51st graduation ceremony on Friday.
This is the first physical graduation ceremony since the Covid-19 pandemic.
It was steered by the Chancellor Dr Benson Wairegi who conferred Degrees and awarded Diplomas and Certificates at the institution's graduation square.
Speaking during the ceremony, PS for State Department of University Education and Research Ambassador Simon Nabukwesi encouraged the graduates to use the knowledge they've gained to solve the unemployment crisis in the country.
"Great works are performed not by strength but by perseverance," he added.
Among the graduands is the Chief of Defence Forces general Robert Kibochi who was conferred with a Doctor of Philosophy (Peace and Conflict Management) Degree. Kibochi becomes the first sitting Army Chief with such a Degree.
He has been studying peace and conflict management and has qualified to be conferred with the degree at the 51st graduation ceremony to be held on Friday.
Kibochi said he is delighted and honoured to be conferred with the Doctor of Philosophy degree.
