The United Democratic Alliance on Thursday commenced the party's primaries across the country.

The voting will take place in 36 counties in the exercise that will only be open to the eight million registered UDA members.

However, the board has suspended primaries in Nandi Hill, Narok South and Nakuru Town West constituencies until April 19.

Some polling stations are experiencing hiccups with the exercise.

In Baringo, there were delays experienced as the IEBC list missed in most Baringo polling stations. Nothing was going on at Kabarnet High School by 10.10 am.

They want the polling clerks swapped to maintain the integrity of the nominations.

On Wednesday, a lorry transporting UDA party nomination materials to Embu was attacked and materials burnt.

Delays experienced as IEBC list misses in most Baringo polling stations. Nothing was going on at Kabarnet High School by 10.10am.

In a viral video shared on social media,  ballot boxes and papers were burnt as rigging allegations emerged hours before the primaries.

The Deputy President William Ruto-led party dispatched its officials to the area to probe the matter. So far three members have been summoned over the incident.

They include; Margaret Lorna Kariuki (Nominated Member of County Assembly), John Muchiri Nyaga (Manyatta MP) and Norman Nyaga (UDA politician) 

In a statement on Wednesday evening, UDA NEB chairperson Anthony Mwaura asked aspirants to respect the decisions of Returning Officers.
