The Covid-19 pandemic hit billboard revenue hard but the election season is helping to make up for losses.

In the last financial year, 2020-2021, billboards and adverts were the worst-performing own-source revenue stream in Nairobi county.

Billboards revenue hit only Sh736.3 million, a decrease from Sh753.9 million collected in  FY 2019-20.

However, with the election period, the county will reap millions from billboards. Politicians and political parties are using advertising companies to sell them and their agendas through billboards and posters on poles.

Eye-catching billboard advertisements are in your face and attract attention at first glance.
